Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 9, 2026 · Effective immediately

FiveFire ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by InGaim Partners LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use FiveFire at fivefire.app (the "Service"). By using FiveFire, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash via Supabase Auth). You may optionally provide your grade level and the AP subjects you are studying.

Usage & Learning Data

We collect data about how you use the Service, including quiz answers, scores, flashcard sessions, study streaks, XP earned, leaderboard rankings, essay submissions, and predicted AP scores. This data powers your personalized study experience.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to FiveFire Pro, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never store your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data under their own Privacy Policy.

Device & Technical Data

We automatically collect your browser type, device type, operating system, IP address, referring URLs, and pages visited. This helps us diagnose issues and improve the Service.

Essay & FRQ Submissions

When you use AI-graded essay features (Pro only), your essay text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for grading and feedback. See Section 4 for how third-party AI providers handle your data.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

Service Providers: We use Supabase (database & auth), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI grading), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver their service.
Leaderboards: Your display name and XP rank may be visible to other FiveFire users on public leaderboards. You can adjust your display name in account settings.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of FiveFire, our users, or the public.
Business Transfers: If FiveFire is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email before any such transfer.

4. Third-Party AI Services

FiveFire Pro uses Anthropic's Claude API to grade essays and FRQ responses. When you submit an essay, the text is sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic does not use API-submitted content to train their models by default. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for full details.

AI essay grading is a Pro-only feature. Free tier users do not have their content sent to AI services.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

FiveFire is designed for high school students (ages 14–18). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are 13 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to use this Service and to provide any personal information.

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. Parents or guardians who believe their child under 13 has provided us personal data may contact us at privacy@fivefire.app.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., payment records, which Stripe retains per their policy).

Anonymized, aggregated usage data (e.g., "X students completed Period 5 quizzes this week") may be retained indefinitely and does not identify you.

We use privacy-respecting analytics (PostHog/Plausible) that do not use cookies for cross-site tracking. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from logging in to FiveFire.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, database row-level security, and regular security reviews. However, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately at privacy@fivefire.app if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
